Marine Rescue Hervey Bay (VMR 466)
Marine Rescue Hervey Bay is a 100% volunteer organisation and we are always seeking new members for the unit. The positions available are listed below so depending on your preference we would welcome you aboard. (We do not dictate what position you will undertake).

As a Marine Rescue Volunteer you will be joining a dedicated team who share your commitment to helping the community in a marine environment.
In order to become a volunteer you need to be aged 18 and over and ideally live locally within Hervey Bay.
On becoming a volunteer you will be trained in the job you have chosen by our qualified staff. Compentency levels are ongoing and vary with each role in the unit.
Regardless of whether you are a crew member on one of our vessels or doing a sausage sizzle on a Saturday morning ,we are very much a team all committed to the role of Safety of Lives at Sea.

If Marine Rescue is for you, you can complete the necessary paperwork at the unit.
